Here is a very important educational video about the corporate style now being used by the “government” and how the CAFR relates to it.
The Florida CAFR and others are explained in some detail. You can see that what you hear from the media outlets about “government finances” really is not anywhere near a realistic representation of what is the case. Fourteen hundred pages of investments are listed by the Florida State CAFR!
Make sure you have some time to spend on this video. It is three hours long. A short time for the amount of understanding you will gain about the “government” and what is really going on.
